In an era where industries evolve at breakneck speed, some traditions hold firm. For our CEO, Parth Jhaveri, the jewelry business isn’t just a profession—it's a legacy that spans six generations. He stands at the helm of a family enterprise that has been crafting timeless pieces for over 150 years, a tradition of excellence passed down from generation to generation.

After graduating from Texas A&M in 2014, Parth moved to a small city in India called Surat - the diamond hub of the world. There, he began training in a well-known factory under the tutelage of skilled artisans and continued training in Mumbai. He learned the ins and outs of diamond manufacturing by using cutting edge technology and modern techniques to extract maximum value from each rough diamond. During his time overseas, he also learned the process of gold jewelry manufacturing. Upon his return to Houston, he was still unsure of how he would make his mark in the industry.

As his friends were slowly getting engaged or married, he realized a few things:

1) Engagement rings are always in demand.
2) Millennials would rather spend money on experiences.
3) Online shopping is becoming increasingly popular.

Parth knew then that he had to use his family history and personal experiences to create something new – a brand that could provide high-quality diamonds & custom jewelry at wholesale prices. Thus, Privosa was born.
