Tell us about him or her.
The first meeting is mostly questions, and hardly any of them are technical. What does he or she wear already, and what never comes off? Is there a stone in the family? And what number are you comfortable with — asked early and asked plainly, because it's the one fact that shapes everything after it.
Bring a photograph, a screenshot, a sketch on the back of something. Or bring nothing at all. Both are a perfectly good place to start.

Come and see the diamonds.
This is the part we're proudest of. We keep our own inventory of loose diamonds — natural and lab-grown — so you can sit down with a tray of them, hold them up to the light and compare them side by side before anything is set. No screenshots, no waiting on someone else's warehouse.
We buy them ourselves, without a middleman in the chain, so there's no one else's margin sitting on top of your stone. And if the one you want isn't in our case, our network across the trade will find it — we'll just tell you plainly that we're sourcing it rather than showing it to you today.
- The render
See it before it exists.
Once the drawing and the stone are settled, your design is built as a photorealistic 3D model — real proportions, real metal, your actual stone, from any angle you like. This is where prong counts get happily argued over and band widths move by a third of a millimeter.
You sign off on the render. Nothing gets cut until you do.
- The bench
Made, hallmarked, and looked after.
Your piece is cast, set and finished by hand, then checked against the render before it leaves us. It ships insured and signature-required, with its Certificate of Specification tucked in beside it.
And then it's still ours to look after. Resizing, re-polishing, a setting checked over — bring it back any time and we'll take care of it.
Nothing, until there's something to make.
The conversation, the sketches, the tray of diamonds and the written quote are all free — and they're free at every budget, because we don't run a better process for a bigger number. A deposit is taken once you approve the drawings and the center stone.

Two ways in, and we carry both.
About half our commissions are built around a diamond and the rest around something with color in it. We hold our own loose stones either way, so whichever route you take, you can see the real thing before you choose it.

You don't need an idea to begin.
Plenty of these start with someone saying they have no idea what they want, and that's a perfectly good brief. Come and look at a few loose diamonds with us — an hour with a tray in front of you will tell you more than any amount of reading, and you'll leave knowing what you like.

When do I see a design, and do I have to pay first?+
The conversation, the first sketches and the written quote are all free, and none of them commit you to anything. A deposit is taken once you approve the drawings and the center stone.
Can I use a stone I already own?+
Yes — and it's one of the loveliest reasons to commission something. Bring the stone, or the piece it's set in, and we'll look at it with you: condition, dimensions, and whether it can safely be reset. If it can't, we'll tell you rather than risk it.
Can I really just come and look at loose diamonds?+
Please do. It's the best hour you can spend on this, and it costs nothing. We'll put a tray in front of you, show you what a grade actually looks like in daylight, and you'll leave knowing far more than any website can teach you — whether or not you buy anything that day.
Do I have to be in Houston?+
Not at all. We'd love to see you in the showroom, but the whole thing works over email, phone and video too — sketches, stone photos and renders all travel. Write to hello@privosa.com or call (281) 515-8180 and we'll sort out which bits are worth doing in person.
What if I don't like it when it arrives?+
That's exactly what the render is for — by the time anything is cut, you've already approved how it will look. A commissioned piece is made for one person and can't be offered to anyone else, so it isn't covered by our standard 30-day return. What it is covered by is our work: if the finished piece doesn't match the render you signed off on, it comes straight back to the bench at our cost.
